This is a small burial mound with a horizontal stone chamber dating to the end of the Kofun period. Six burial mounds were discovered in the 1960s during road and gas construction. Five of them were destroyed during construction work for National Route 1, but this one was preserved in its current state. From this burial mound, earthenware (Haji ware), Sue ware (Sueki ware), ancient coins, and human remains were unearthed. From the south exit of JR Mishima Station, take the Numazu-Hakone Tozan Tokai Bus (bound for Numazu Station via Shindo) and walk 10 minutes from the "Fushimi Shinden" bus stop. The main artifacts unearthed from the burial mound are displayed chronologically in the local history museum on the second floor of the Shimizu-cho Community Exchange Center.
