MARUIKE

The Maruike, situated adjacent to a lush green space, serves as a reservoir for supplying water to the nearby agricultural lands. In recent years, pathways have been constructed, and the breathtaking combination of cherry blossoms and the majestic Mount Fuji during springtime has captivated numerous visitors. Maruike is popular among photographers because of the inverted Mount Fuji reflected on the water surface and the kingfishers that fly in. The history of Maruike is ancient. The description of the construction of Maruike is written in the red seal certificate issued by the Sengoku daimyo, the Later Hojo clan, who ruled this land during the Sengoku period. In the park, there is a water pond that is about the size of one tennis court and is supplied by spring water. Many children can enjoy playing in the water safely at once. Additionally, there are gazebos and toilets available, making it a facility where you can enjoy walking and the changing scenery of Mount Fuji depending on the season.

From JR Mishima Station South Exit, take the Numazu Hakone Tozan Tokai Bus (via Kakita/Shizuoka Medical Center, bound for Numazu Station). Get off at Floral Avenue Kakitagawa and it's a 3-minute walk from there.

The bench, toilet, and parking lot are fully equipped, allowing you to have a comfortable time. The toilet also has a diaper changing station, so even parents with babies can feel at ease.
